How do we keep Oasis open?
Oasis of Hope is funded by the participation in the regional grant given from the Federal Government to the state, to the region through the Salvation Army to us! We have applied for this grant which is supporting our staff and overhead as well as all our program costs.

Donations of all other kinds, finances, volunteer hours, food, supplies, pop can returns and anything that is shared, keep us fed and cared for.
​
We are currently working on expanding our balance to 30% donations and 70% grants. This is a shift towards more flexibility and local participation in our success journey.
​
Please consider how you can partner with us on a monthly or one time basis to help us reach our goals of stable expansion. Our families thank all our donors for their generosity!
What does homeless look like?
It looks like you and me! Anyone anywhere can be at risk of losing their place to live!

We believe in paying it forward and looking out for each other! Almost everyone knows what housing insecurity has felt like: not knowing where we are going or what is available when we get there.
It is out of that knowledge that we share with others, gather resources and network. Planning can help, but sometimes things happen anyways.
​
With a little bit of help and a bit of time a family can be re-established in a stable home with many barriers eliminated.
With your help this can happen within months!
Highly Qualified Staff

We are proud of our hard working professional staff. Oasis of Hope House has 24 hour security staff as we are open for guests to use the house 24 hours.
We have daily case managers and consultations available and work together with our guests to remove barriers and set up families for success.
We are able to have highly qualified staff because of your help!
Oasis of Hope House has had professional advice, policies and best practice from all agencies in the state as well as other shelters.

Our practices and policies are supported through MISHDA, Salvation Army, NEMCSA, United Way, MiWorks, DHHS, other shelters, HUD and more.
​
Monthly we gather to review current policies and work together to seamlessly offer successful help to the community.
​
We welcome the community to join our advisory board and offer their expertise.

Oasis of Hope House is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our guests are empowered by careful individual planning and creating opportunities with them and our community help.
